Welcome to the Challenge

Join us as we take four households on the trip of a lifetime. In this unique web series, we've paired each household with a dedicated team of financial advisors that will help them get on the road to financial success. Along the way, contestants (and viewers) will learn how to make smart money decisions. The household that improves their financial situation the most wins the $10,000 grand prize. Of course, there are no losers because everyone learns how to improve their financial lives! Stay tuned.

About the Challenge

We've kept the "real" in "reality." During the course of the competition, each household will share their experiences. You can keep up with their challenges and progress by checking their webpage. You'll find blogs, videos and candid conversation.

Competition Guidelines

Each of our households is already a winner – just for taking a step in the right direction. However, the U-Turn Challenge is ultimately a competition where one household wins the grand prize of $10,000.

How’s it work? Each of the participating households will focus on sticking to their budget, reducing debt and increasing their savings. The households will gain points for their efforts based on their percentage of goal achieved. Each household’s goals are set based on their individual financial situation. While each household’s absolute dollar goals may be different (along with their incomes and expenditures), the winner of the competition will be chosen based on the total number of points received based on their percentage of goal achieved.
