Sharing lunches with a friend at work: Stellar budget idea! Fun too...especially when lunch is leftovers, and your friend's husband is an amazing cook! Kim, thank you for sharing not only lunches with me, but also for your listening ear, through literally every day of the past year. Also, for sharing your own budget goals and the ups and downs that come along with that! Yep, we'll both drive "paid for" cars for some time to come if it means that we can build tour savings up to a comfortable level. ;-) The support you and your family has given us through your words and example are something we appreciate more than you will ever know!
Sharing a great resource: Jode & Jason...thank you all over again for being the ones to introduce us to Dave Ramsey, who preaches some novel concepts--for example, not buying things if you can't afford them! Hmmm...interesting. :-) Even when we weren't quite "there" a couple of years ago, you patiently modeled responsible spending habits until we finally came around just in time to apply for the Challenge a year ago. We are so excited for the financial future your family has ahead of you.
Sharing words of encouragement: Jen, your cheerful messages and notes have meant so much all along the way! Knowing that you were reading our blog while managing your household and job responsibilites really meant a lot to me--and the fact that you almost always followed up with a call or email is amazing! I especially enjoyed the times we discussed budgets over coffee or lunch--your thoughtful questions really showed that you cared about our long term success. Thanks for your open and honest conversations.
Of course we have a ton of support from both our families and friends, and I could write all night about them and how they have all helped us. These three, in particular, served roles of mentors, teachers and cheerleaders over the past year--simply as a result of how they lives their lives with integrity and purpose, and for being available exactly when we most needed them. To them, I owe special thanks.

The last blog, and I finally learn how to enter a reply. I've followed your and Brad's progress this year, and I couldn't be prouder. You've both made such good choices TOGETHER!
